The Animal Communication Triangle

The Animal Communication Triangle

I got a quick no.

I was in class, learning more advanced animal communication techniques, when we were taught something to do for fun called Double Linking. Two communicators work together: one is the person who is the guardian for the animal, and the other is the main communicator. The idea is that for most of us, our own animals are the hardest to communicate with. We just know them too well.

I asked my instructor if we could do this with clients too. I got a quick no.

I have to admit, I don't take the word no easily.

Here's what I was trying to solve. When I am in an animal communication session, I want the clearest channel possible to hear from the animal. I also want the person associated with the animal to be there with me, not just watching.

When I first started, I would work with the person by connecting to the animal while they watched, then speak what I saw, heard, or felt from the animal and communicate it back. I did not feel a connection to the human myself. I could feel the animal's connection to their human. The human was watching and listening, asking questions, but not much of a participant.

It looked like this.

I communicate, the person watches

I got good information and my clients were happy, but I felt something was lacking. I wanted to go deeper, get richer information. And that instructor's no stuck with me.

The Double Linking technique was fascinating. I found that when I worked with an animal communicator friend and one of my own dogs, I was in the reading and it really worked. I turned it around in my head and thought, this will work. I just have to figure out how to bring the animal's person into the reading, no matter what I'd been told.

Along came the Animal Communication Triangle theory. Everyone is a part of the reading: the communicator, the animal, and their person.

I created a simple meditation that is similar to what I do when I am communicating with my own animal. I tested it out on some friends and they all loved it. It was richer, there were more feelings, and the person being read felt a part of the process.

Last week I rolled it out with some of my clients. They all just went with it. They engaged, and the readings went deeper and richer than what I had been experiencing before.

I'm sure you're curious about what this magical new method is. Remember, you can do this at home with your own pet to deepen your bond.

Think about your animal(s).
Breathe in deeply and feel their energy in your heart.
Breathe out and feel your energy go through your feet and into the earth.
Do this three times, slowly and with intent.

That's it, that's the whole meditation.

When you're done with this, you feel connected to whoever joined you in the meditation. Your animals are energetically sharing with you. They feel it. The energy of this meditation changes everything about connecting with your animal. The triangle closes, and everyone in it feels it.

I encourage you to try this with your animals. Try it with your backyard squirrels and birds. The idea is to connect with the living energy and force of all creatures and open your heart.
